Create a Campaign
Click on My Account in the top right corner (admin panel)
Click on Manage in top left of this next screen
Click on Focus Campaigns in the top left menu of the next screen
Click New Campaign, follow the steps. Create a name for the campaign and a date range, and click Next Step
Now add the wines you would like for this specific focus campaign.
For the wines in this specific campaign (they’ll be lumped together), assign points per wine Vinosmith will track the sales of each wine in the campaign and then add up points, and on the dashboard interface the reps will see how many points they have earned on that goal (often I just put in 1 point per case, but this is up to you. If you have 3 wines in a goal and one is a hard to sell wine, you might give that 10 points where the others get 1 point)
Once you have entered the points per case, click on Update Points
Manage Sales Rep Goals will show you a list of all your reps. Here is where you can adjust how many points you want each to earn on this campaign. Click on Update.
Sales reps will be able to view the goals assigned to them by clicking on the “Goals” tab on the dashboard, located right next to the “Sales Activity” tab, directly under the heading “Your Dashboard”.
As the admin, when you look at this link, you will see all the reps lined up against each other, but they will only see their own goals.
When is the data collected?
Vinosmith does not re-calculate campaign data in real-time - the data collection happens once a day.
This means that if you create a new goal, in the worst case, it can take up to 24 hours for you to see any data.
However, you do have the ability to force a re-calculation to take place. Here is how to do that:
Go to My Account in the top right corner, click Manage in the top left of the next screen
Click on Focus Campaigns in the top left menu of the next screen
On the left side of the screen is a green button, Re-Calculate Goals - click this button.
If orders fit the campaign criteria (sales reps, wines, start/end dates), data should show up within a few minutes.
Please note - The metrics are measured by the mode you are in. If you are in bottles, the points will be driven by bottles. If you're in cases, the points will be driven by cases.
