Every Wine in Vinosmith can have multiple prices. Often you might have a Case Price, a Case 5 Price or a Case 10 Price , etc.
Every price can also be marked as Public or Private. Every Price point is visible to all sales-reps and administrators inside Vinosmith, so Public vs Private doesn't matter in that context.
When Public vs Pricing Comes Into Effect
Tasting Sheets
When a Tasting is created, and Wines are added to a Tasting sheet, a user can easily generate a Tasting Sheet - which is a PDF that lists the wines in the tasting, the sales-rep contact information, headline text, and optionally a logo.
Vinosmith will automatically display all Public prices on the generated Tasting Sheet. These are the prices that you would have in your public Price book, for instance.
If you created a Price that is essentially a custom price and should be used only for specific accounts or markets, it would be a good candidate for a Private price. Thus, that price would not appear on a Tasting Sheet, as it shouldn't be displayed publicly.
Price Books
Private prices cannot be included in a Price Book at the rep level. However, Admin-level users can include private prices.
