Scenario
I received two deposits from Payrix but received one email indicating only one deposit would be received.
Extended Answer
Unfortunately there is no clear answer, nor a single way to ensure this doesn't happen.
This split is generated by the Payments Processor, depending on which platform funds were paid out/disbursed from. Transactions are processed on either VCORE (for device-based sales) or VANTIV (for online transactions). In many cases, split deposits will align with their associated transactions: ACH payments are funded through VANTIV, device-based transactions are funded through VCORE. However, the funding process on the backend is very complex when using two platforms under one merchant ID. As a result, these splits don't always match. It is important to note that these fields are not designed to guarantee that alignment in all scenarios.
Regarding reconciliation, there isn’t a reliable way to match each transaction and fee on a one-to-one basis with the split deposits because, as mentioned, they don't always align. The merchant should reconcile based on the total sum of the deposits rather than attempting to match each transaction to a specific deposit/platform.
