Product Families is a customizable data point that allows grouping multiple SKUs that wouldn't otherwise be connected—for instance, a producer's Chardonnay across vintages.
To create Product Families, go to the Wines page:
In the left-hand navigation, click on Manage under PRODUCT FAMILIES
Click on Create a Product Family
Enter a name
Then Save
Product Families can be created or disabled via batch by creating an Excel file with the following required columns.
A – Product Family ID
To create a new Product Family, leave the Product Family ID column blank.
B – Product Family Name
Then click on Import to upload the file.
Product Families must exist in Vinosmith before being assigned. Once created, edit a wine to assign the product family or use the Properties file to assign via batch.
Only one product family can be assigned to a wine.
