Please keep in mind that organizations with QB integration probably won't need to use this option to create new items.
Vinosmith provides a Clone function. The core properties of the source product are cloned into a copy, and you can then make all of your needed changes.
Please note: Vinosmith will auto-generate a unique Item Code, which you can then update as needed.
How to Clone an Item:
Pull up the source Item you would like to clone.
On the left, click on the link for Clone Product
Next, edit the product name, product code (a new code is auto-generated, but you can change it), and vintage.
Product Family option
Ability to choose from an existing Product Family (pre-selected on the Source product's family); you can choose an alternate if desired
The "Create New" option surfaces a field to enter a new family to create & assign.
Select Properties to Clone. Options include
Product Properties – Top-level product properties like Appellation, Product Type, Vintage, etc.
Warehouses
Option: When cloning Inventory, do not clone BIN locations
Prices
Option: When cloning prices, zero out the price amount

Images
Attachments
Notes
Awards/Points
Your new cloned item is created, and you are taken to the copied version.
