How to Add BIN Location

Batch updating the BIN Location involves exporting the inventory, editing the file, and uploading (importing) the changes.

Last updated on 17 Dec, 2025

There are two ways to update the BIN location(s) of your products:

  • Individually - by editing each product

  • Via Batch - by using the Inventory import/export flow

Option #1 - Adding to Each Product

  • Go to the item

  • In the Inventory section, click on Manage

  • On the Warehouse line item, click on Adjust (on the far right of the screen)

  • In the BIN / Location key in the BIN location

  • Scroll down and click on Update

Option #2 - Adding via Batch Using the Inventory Export/Import Flow

1. Export Inventory

  • Click on the Wines tab

  • On the left navigation, scroll down to the Import/Export section

  • Under Inventory, click on Export Inventory

  • Select your method of choice and click Export

2. Edit the Inventory

  • Once you've downloaded your spreadsheet, edit/update the inventory as needed, including the BIN location

    • Save your updated file

3. Import Updated Spreadsheet

  • Click on the Wines tab

  • On the left navigation, scroll down to the Import/Export section

  • Under Inventory, click on Import Inventory

  • Follow the instructions on the screen, and upload your updated file

  • Select: Do NOT Update Quantity? If your goal is to update only BIN location and you do not want quantities to be updated, check this option. Only relevant for updates. If the inventory record is being created because it does not already exist, the quantity will be imported.

  • Click Import
